Jurists Bar Review Center official welcome message

To all those who enrolled at Jurists Bar Review Center Cebu, Welcome Juristas ! We are glad that you have decided to take your final journey of your pursuit of the noblest of all professions with us.

Before anything else, we would like to introduce to you the key personnel that drive Jurists Bar Review Center Cebu. Aside from our Manila counterparts, Jurists Bar Review Center Cebu is manned by the following personnel.

Atty. Pepita Jane Petralba is one of the main coordinators and coach for Jurists Bar Review Center Cebu. She is currently Cebu province chief prosecutor. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in laws from a European university and is currently teaching law subjects. She recently authored the book “An Introduction to Human Rights Law for Philippine Students.”

Atty. Zigfred Diaz is a proud product of the Jurists Bar Review Center. He serves as one of the coordinators and coaches for Jurists Bar Center Cebu. He is currently teaching law subjects at the Southwestern School of law and the Cebu Institute of Technology. He co-authored the widely popular 4 volume, statistical based-codal based-bar problem based Lex Pareto Notes. (www.lexparetonotes.blogspot.com) He is currently into private practice but most of his time is taken up in several business ventures. He is also the blogger behind one of the top blogs in the country, www.zdiaz.com.

Atty. Alrey Ouano graduated from the Jurists Bar Review center as well. Together with Atty. Diaz, he is one of the co-authors of the Lex Pareto Notes. Currently, he is connected with the Public Attroney’s office and is teaching law subjects at the Southwestern University school of law. He serves as one of the coaches and coordinators of Jurists Bar Review center Cebu.

Atty. Anabel Pulvera is a managing partner of Riveral Pulvera & Associates. She is currently pursuing her master's of law degree with the San Beda College of Law. She has been a long time law professor teaching review subjects such as Political law, Remedial law and Public International law. Currently she is the Integrated Bar of the Philippines Cebu chapter's Press relations officer.

Dean Godwin Denzel Manginsay is the Dean of the Southwestern University School of law. He has given his full support to Jurists Bar Review Center Cebu by letting us use most of the law school’s facility.

Ma. Salud Barillo serves as reviewee relations in charge for Jurists Bar Review Center Cebu. As a former reviewee herself, she understands how the Jurists system operates and will be seeking to strengthen the bond of relationship between the review center, and the reviewees. Salud is the blogger behind www.say-lud.blogspot.com.

Alvin Pariola is the review center assistant. His main job is take care of reviewee needs. He takes care of all the other details that is needed to run the review center such as, hand outs, attendance sheet, i.ds, organizing the mock bar among other things.

Nolito Dayanan formerly served as Jurists Bar Review Center assistant in Jurists Bar Review Center Cebu season 1. Now, a reviewee himself in Jurists Bar Review Center Season 2, Although we do not want to disturb Noli anymore as he has to prepare for the bar, because of his love for the review center, he has still volunteered to lend a helping hand from time to time in Jurists Bar Review Center Cebu season 2. We salute Noli for his invaluable contribution in starting Jurists Bar Review Center Cebu.

The SWU school of law office staff, Jovie, Marissa and Clarissa mans the front desk of SWU school of law which also serves as Jurists Bar Review center help desk.

SWU Bar Operations committee has committed to assist Jurists Bar review center bar candidates in the filing of their petition to take the bar exams. Please ask the SWU school of law staff or Alvin for more details. We will provide you with the numbe of the SWU bar operations committee later on. Aside from this the SWU bar operations committee and the SWU mock bar committee has committed to lend a helping hand in the review center’s various activities. We

Jurists Bar Review Center Cebu is managed by Jurists Bar Review Center Manila through the following key personnel:

Professor Manuel R. Riguera is the Bar Review Director of Jurists. A law professor at the University of Perpetual Help System-Dalta and at the Far Eastern University with over a decade of law teaching, Professor Riguera brings his wealth of experience to Jurists where he also lectures in Evidence, Special Proceedings, Property, Land Titles, and Banking and Securities Law. He also serves as a Senior Coach of Jurists.

Atty. Hazel Riguera is the Assistant Director and the Head of Administration and Operations. A seasoned trial and corporate lawyer, Atty. Riguera brings her managerial expertise and experience to Jurists.

Ms. Cynthia Cerafica is the secretary and executive assistant to the Review Director and also takes charge of liaising with the lecturers and attending to the needs of the reviewees.

Professor Gafar E. Lutian & Atty. Gina Lutian serves as consultants to Jurists Bar Review Center who advises Jurists on the training and coaching program as well as the lecture program. Prof. Gafar Lutian also serves as Law Reviewer and Senior Coach in Jurists.
