Here is our short interview with Atty. Anthony Cortes:
Jurists: In general how did Jurists Bar Review Center Cebu help you in your review?
Atty. Cortes: JBRC has generally made me more confident in taking the bar exams.
Jurists: How did the three paragraph method taught by Jurists help you answer the questions in the bar exams?
Atty. Cortes: The 3-paragraph method is a very effective tool of formulating answers quick but logical.
Jurists: Did coaching and mock bar exams help you a lot? In what way did it help you pass the bar?
Atty. Cortes: Yes, it did! The coaching really made a huge difference. I suggest, everyone should complete all coaching sessions.
Jurists: What was your most memorable experience in Jurists Bar Review Center Cebu ?
Atty. Cortes: Memorable experience ? Hmmm… Don’t have any ! Been married for 15 years, I’ve had a lot of that experience … heheheheh ! I mean its meeting new friends and reviewers that made my Jurists experience unforgettable.
Jurists: Any encouraging words to our Jurists Bar Review Center Cebu season 2 reviewees ?
Atty. Cortes: For retakers, like me: "DONT QUIT!" For 1st timers: "BE PREPARED"
Jurists: Any specific bar tips that you can offer to our Jurists Bar Review Center Cebu Season 2 reviewees ?
Atty. Cortes: Take the review, very very very seriously. Do not be complacent, specially the 1st timers. Take the Bar exam, very very very calmly. It’s perfectly ok to be tense or nervous, but DONT PANIC
Jurists: Now that you are a lawyer what are your plans?
Atty. Cortes: . I hope to be engage in the government service... then maybe private practice Ehts depens !
Note: We have just received the sad news that Atty. Anthony “Sonny” Santos O. Cortes died last Tuesday, May 26, 2009. Cortes in praying and seeking for justice for the death of Atty. Anthony "Sonny" Cortes.
